Their past being a group, singing Rock 'n' Roll and Rockabilly, the Ranch Girls decided to spin out the history of this type of music and lost their heart to Hillbilly.
As some people say, Hillbilly is a name for many different traditional American styles like: Cowboysongs”, “Western Swing”, Country, “Honky Tonk” and “Bluegrass”. 

The Ranch Girls and the Ragtime Wranglers like to play the Hillbilly from the beginning of the Fifties with licks to Rockabilly.

Ranch Girls & Ragtime Wranglers They prefer to dedicate the Hillbilly sang or played by women and among others ‘ they’re inspired by The Dinning Sisters, Patsy Cline, The Davis Sisters Rose Maddox, The Carter Sisters and The Collins Kids. But male artists as well, like Faron Young, Ray Price and
A height in the career of the Ranch Girls and the Ragtime Wranglers was their show on the  10th Hemsby festival in England in may 1993; the concert that night, with over 2500 people in the hall, was a big success. Later the band was elected Favorite European Act At Hemsby” and in may 1995 the band  played  at the same festival again (“back by popular demand”).

Their enthusiasm grow increasingly after all positive response upon each performance, even extends the borders of their own small country. They played in Belgium, Germany, Swiss, France, Italy and quite recently Sweden and Finland at big open air festivals and small café’s.
In November 1996 they played on the Fairmont Festival in Indianapolis (U.S.A.) and in Detroit.
In 1993  the CD ‘Rhythm on the Ranch” that was released.
The Xmas single (limited edition, 1000 copies), a cooperation from the girls with “The Hillbilly Boogiemen’ was sold out within two months!
In 1997 the CD ‘Hillbilly Harmony’ was released.
The Ragtime Wranglers, home based in Rotterdam, consists of Joe Sixpack, Chopsticks Sietse, Jerome and Patrick, on electric guitar, drums, steel guitar/mandolin and double bass.
Next to quite some instrumentals they accompany Mary Ann and Mary Lou, that still call themselves the Ranch Girls, and sing both duets and solo.
Together the Ragtime Wranglers and the Ranch Girls form a varied Hillbilly show.
