After three albums and a huge popularity, Rene went to America where he met Mike Stoller (Leiber & Stoller), Rocky Burnette en Phil Everly.
In America the single ‘Love you done me wrong’ was recorded.

The perfectionism –one of Rene’s characteristics- on this single was again obvious noticeably.
Absolute highlight was the recording of the single ‘On top of the world’, not only written by Phil Everly...  he also sings the backing-vocals on this beautiful  ballad.
Rene found his roots again: Time for ‘Rock & Roll’.
Because Rock & Roll is his live.
On stage he brings a good mix of old Rock ‘n’ Roll songs together with his own written Rock ‘n’ Roll songs.
